loading disk sets on Mac

PostSat Aug 05, 2017 2:01 am

It is still not possible to open Disk sets:
Menu Set / Disk / Load Data File...
select eg. Collection.syx (or DW8000_Factory_A.fxb, etc),

We get:
File Error
Attempting to access the file:
Caused the following error:
Please choose or drop a Data File.

Please, update the application very soon; I've bought it, but it is totally useless if we cannot save and load patch banks!
Alternatively, publish the sources, I could correct this bug in half an hour with the sources!!

The majority of file opening would be through the "File / Open" menu.

The "Set / Disk / Load Data File" function is very specific and will only add single and bank Midi Quest files to an existing Set. The option will not load .fxb files and doesn't claim to.

If you are having difficulty loading .fxb files into Midi Quest, just go back to the Midi Quest plug-in. Save the SysEx as a Sound Quest Set file (.sqs). this can be opened directly by the stand-alone version of Midi Quest.
